Morocco celebrates Throne Day 2025 this July 30, marking the 26th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne. This Moroccan Throne Day is an emblematic day for all Moroccans, marked by grandiose festivities, official ceremonies and a royal speech conveying hope and reform. It reaffirms the deep ties between the throne and the people.
📜 A national holiday rich in symbols
Established in 1999, the annual Feast of the Throne commemorates the enthronement of Mohammed VI. It is much more than a simple celebration: it is a moment of unity, of remembrance and of projection into the future. Moroccans unite around their sovereign to celebrate the Kingdom’s progress and renew their attachment to the monarchy.
📢 A royal speech focused on equality and development

The day before, on July 29 at 9pm, the King delivered a televised address to the Nation, in which he stressed the importance of strengthening social cohesion, reducing territorial disparities and expanding opportunities for young people. The Sovereign called for new development programs to build a more equitable and forward-looking Morocco.
🎊 Official ceremonies in M’diq and Tétouan
On July 30, a royal reception was held in the town of M’diq, in the presence of the Kingdom’s leading personalities and dignitaries. On July 31, Tetouan will host the swearing-in ceremony for military academy graduates, followed by the emblematic ceremony of allegiance to the royal palace.
