Morocco is preparing to write a new page in the history of African soccer by hosting the CAN 2025 from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026. To ensure the smooth running of the competition, the Kingdom has mobilized 9 CAN 2025 stadiums, spread across six strategic cities. Completely renovated or newly built, these stadiums meet international standards and will play a central role in the success of the tournament. A foretaste of what Morocco is preparing for the 2030 World Cup.


📍 List of stadiums selected for CAN 2025

1. Rabat – The capital of African soccer 2025

  • Complexe Sportif Prince Moulay Abdellah (≈ 69 000 places)
    ➤ Main stadium of the CAN 2025: it will host the opening match, the final and a semi-final. Fully renovated to CAF and FIFA standards.
  • Al Barid Stadium (≈ 18,000 seats)
    ➤ New, modern stadium built especially for the tournament. It will offer top-level facilities for the group matches.
  • Stade Annexe Olympique Moulay Abdellah (≈ 21,000 seats)
    ➤ Used for certain group matches, this stadium completes Rabat’s sports facilities.
  • Complexe Sportif Moulay El Hassan (≈ 22,000 seats)
    ➤ Actuellement en rénovation, il sera prêt à temps pour accueillir des matchs dès septembre 2025.

2. Casablanca – The mythical stadium of Wydad and Raja

  • Mohammed V Complex (≈ 45,000 seats)
    ➤ One of the kingdom’s most emblematic stadiums. In particular, it will host the quarter-finals. Recently renovated, it already meets international standards.

3. Tangier – World-class infrastructure

  • Grand Stade Ibn Batouta (≈ 65,000 to 75,000 seats)
    ➤ One of the country’s largest stadiums, modernized to host a semi-final. It has already been used for FIFA competitions.

4. Marrakech – At the heart of tourism and soccer

  • Grand Stade de Marrakech (≈ 41,000 seats)
    ➤ Modern and accessible, it will host group matches and quarter-finals. It is one of the most popular stadiums in Morocco.

5. Agadir – An architectural gem

  • Grand Stade d’Agadir (Adrar) (≈ 45,000 seats)
    ➤ Situated on the seafront, it combines exceptional surroundings and technical performance. It has already hosted several African competitions.

6. Fès – Un stade rénové pour briller

  • Fez Sports Complex (≈ 35,000 seats)
    ➤ The fully renovated stadium will be used for group matches and quarter-finals.

🔧 Work in progress and vision 2030

All the stadiums have been renovated or are in the final stages of completion to meet CAF requirements. Rabat is concentrating its efforts on several projects which should be completed by autumn 2025. These investments are also part of the preparations for the 2030 World Cup, where a giant new 115,000-seat stadium in Benslimane is planned.
